Right down the street you’ll find history waiting for your exploration.
In both Mineral Springs Plantation and Estates of Chancellorsville there are extensive Civil War entrenchment's and points of historical interest from the Battle of Chancellorsville. Nearby and next to our communities are preserved thousands of acres of forests and farms owned by the U.S. Department of Interior and the Virginia Battlefield Trust. The U.S. Park Service has a contingent of Park Rangers that routinely patrol the nearby area. More information on the Battlefield can be found at www.nps.gov/frsp.
Recreational opportunities include the many state and county parks as well as Lake Anna, a 13,000 acre lake in the southern section of the county which offers boating, bass fishing, water skiing, swimming and a host of other water related activities.
